Cuckoo – A productivity timer for remote teams

The pomodoro technique is a popular method of working productively. It takes a period of time and divides it into two types of blocks: Blocks for working and blocks for taking breaks. The break blocks between the study periods tend to be short breaks but after a few work blocks, you can take an even longer break. This technique is useful as it allows you to optimize the time spent working while minimizing or preventing burnout.

Suppose you wanted a timer that allows you to use this technique but with a group. Here’s where cuckoo comes in. The instructions are simple. First, name your session and continue.

Share the link with your team, enter a name for yourself and you can proceed to the next step.

On the next screen, you can customize your sessions. You can enter varying time options for work and for breaks.

Then when you are ready, click on a time to set and begin working.

Keep working until the timer is up. When your work session is done, then give yourself a break. Rinse and repeat the process.
